Linda Erker has been a research fellow at the Documentation Centre of Austrian Resistance (DÖW)

 

Linda Erker is a contemporary historian specialising in 20th-century Austrian history. She is currently working on projects about the history of the university, the migration of scientists to South America and right-wing extremist networks. She is also committed to communicating contemporary historical knowledge.

In her habilitation project, Linda Erker is researching Austrian scientists in Latin American exile between 1930 and 1970.

Permanent Fellow with the ERC research group GLORE – Global Resettlement Regimes: Ambivalent Lessons learned from the Postwar (1945-1951) at the University of Vienna's Department of Contemporary History. Head: Prof.in Dr.in Kerstin von Lingen.

Member of the editorial board of the journal "zeitgeschichte"

Expert in the Austrian Commission for the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, Contemporary History Section (school textbook expert)
