PhD-Project: Actors and Structures of European Cultural Diplomacy: A comparison of French, Austrian and Spanish Cultural Institutes since 1945

Florence Klauda is a historian and the recipient of a DOC Fellowship of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Her PhD-project focuses on the contributions the Austrian, French and Spanish Cultural Institutes made to democratic (cultural) exchanges in the second half of the twentieth century. Florence Klauda was also involved in designing the iMoox-Course „Abbau von Vorurteilen und Nationalismus: wissenschaftliche Perspektiven auf gesellschaftliche Konfliktlinien und zu deren Überwindung”. Currently, she participates in the activities of the University of Vienna’s research groups on the History of Human Rights and Democracy and on New Cold War Studies.
